THE POSITION

Location: Basel, Switzerland or Heidelberg, Germany

Reporting to the Team Manager of Proposal Management, the Proposal Manager is a key position in driving growth and will be responsible for developing and managing the proposal process for potential biologics development and manufacturing projects and helping drive the proposal conversion *win rate* into signed contracts. Critical to success will be strong communication skills, technical process knowledge, cross-functional collaboration skills and attention to detail and accuracy.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the development of high-quality, comprehensive, and competitive proposals in response to client inquiries or requests for proposals (RFPs) for biologics development and manufacturing projects.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientific, technical, operations, and business development teams, to gather the necessary information for proposal development.

- Analyze client requirements, project scope, and deliverables to ensure accurate and compelling proposals that meet the clients' needs.

- Develop proposal timelines, cost estimates, resource requirements, and proposal templates to streamline the proposal process.

- Oversee the entire proposal process, from the initial request through submission, ensuring adherence to deadlines and requirements.

- Coordinate and collaborate with subject matter experts and team members to develop technical content and supporting documentation.

- Review and edit proposals for clarity, consistency, and compliance with client specifications, company standards, and industry regulations.

- Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance of the proposal package before submission.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical discipline is preferred. Relevant work experience in biologics development and manufacturing or a related field preferred.

- Proven experience in proposal development, management, and writing in the biopharmaceutical or CDMO industry is a plus

- Strong knowledge and understanding of biologics development, manufacturing processes, and related regulations (e.g. cGMP).

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals and meet strict deadlines.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
