Process Engineer, Surface Treatment, Perniö. Varsinais-Suomi

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer to join our dynamic team at Wipro Infrastructure Engineering.

As a Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our surface treatment processes. If you’re passionate about innovation, problem-solving, and making a real impact, this opportunity is for you!

Responsibilities:

- Conduct necessary corrosion tests to ensure product durability.

- Collaborate with the product development process by ordering tests in the laboratory.

- Evaluate new methods in surface treatment to enhance efficiency and quality.

- Define process requirements and actively participate in their implementation.

- Provide support in claim handling related to surface treatment.

- Take an active role in developing new and existing products, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

- Assist in equipment specifications and evaluate quotations for adequate equipment (including investments).

- Oversee the commissioning and testing of equipment.

- Address questions related to chemicals and environmental issues.

- Offer practical and theoretical support to Wipro Plants across Europe and India.

Authorities:

- Monitor and follow up on current surface treatment methods.

- Verify and validate new methods to ensure their effectiveness.

- Provide backup and support to other functions and locations dealing with surface treatment challenges.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest surface treatment techniques.

Competence Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or equivalent qualification.

- Knowledge in surface treatment techniques such as nitrocarburization, chromating, and painting with pretreatment.

- Familiarity with AutoCAD for process design.

- Cost-consciousness: Ability to optimize processes while managing expenses.

- Strong command of English (both spoken and written). Knowledge of other languages (such as Finnish, Swedish or German) is a plus but not obligatory.

- High availability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.

- Willingness to travel globally at short notice.

- Detail-oriented and structured approach to work.

- Excellent social competence for effective collaboration.
