Catering Assistant & Van Driver. Irlanda

**Position Overview:**

We are currently seeking a reliable and energetic individual to join our team as a Catering Assistant and Van Driver. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of events by assisting with transportation, setup, and service.

**Responsibilities:**

1. **Driving and Transportation:**

   - Safely operate company-owned vans to transport catering equipment, food, and supplies to event venues.

   - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a clean driving record.

   - Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and report any issues to management promptly.

2. **Setup and Preparation:**

   - Assist in the setup and breakdown of catering equipment, including tables, chairs, linens, and serving stations, according to event specifications.

   - Arrange table settings and decorations as per the event theme or client preferences.

   - Help in the preparation of food and beverages under the supervision of the catering chef or lead.

3. **Customer Service:**

   - Greet clients and guests in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival.

   - Assist in serving food and beverages during events, ensuring timely and courteous service.

   - Address any customer inquiries or concerns promptly and escalate issues to management when necessary.

4. **Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:**

   - Keep catering vans clean and organized at all times, including loading and unloading equipment and supplies.

   - Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in event areas throughout the duration of the event.

   - Assist in cleaning dishes, utensils, and equipment post-event, ensuring they are properly stored for future use.

**Requirements:**

- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

- Hccap trained or willing to under go training.

- Prior experience in catering, hospitality, or a related field is preferred but not required.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented approach.

- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per event schedules.
